World of Warcraft - The Alchemy Profession

There are 12 professions in World of Warcraft, each one helping in a different way. Why would one choose to skill up this profession? Well, alchemy is without a doubt the most useful profession to possess while doing raids with your guild, instancing with your party, leveling your character, player vs player combat, and while fighting those pesky gankers that are quite a few levels higher than you. You also have the ability to craft potions that can increase strength, defense, increase melee and spell damage, absorb damage, and more!

With alchemy, your survivability chance goes through the roof! You have the ability of crafting potions that can instantly heal a substantial amount of your health and mana. Imagine being in an end game instance, fighting a boss, and everyone had stacks of health and potions. Every 3 minutes you’re allowed to drink a healing potion that nearly give you 100% health in an instant. You’re chance of defeating that boss is becomes much higher because as we all known most of the healers’ mana goes to the cloth wearers who can’t keep themselves alive. Unfortunetly, those cloth wearers are the major damage dealers. If all the clothies had potions, they could heal themselves, leaving the healers with a lot more mana for the tanks and when the healers run out of mana they have mana potions! The tanks and melee fighters can also drink their damage increasing potions to help bring down the boss a bit faster.

Keeping the clothies alive with free and instant potions + Keeping the tanks alive longer because the healers can focus all their mana on tanks + increasing the damage of the melee fighters = Win

To bad this is a dream situation. No guild has enough organization, money, or smart enough members to think of this and execute it. But at least you can take care of yourself and a few others with your valuable potions. Don’t be one of those guys that says, “Nobody else does it so why should I”. Take care of yourself and whoever else you can and you and your guild will benefit greatly.

Let’s think about the times you’re leveling up. Drinking all your status enhancing potions can make you seem 2-3 levels higher! You’ll be slicing through those mobs like butter. And when you’re being ganked by someone the same level or even 6-8 levels higher you still have a chance to win. You not only have every buff imaginable but you can think of yourself as having 2 times the amount of health with your health potions.

I still remember a few times that I’ve killed horde 10 levels higher than me. I got him down past half life and he got me down to about 100 health left. I just drank a health potion and he started running. Of course, I didn’t let him get away. It’s such a awesome feeling killing someone that wanted to be a jerk and kill you while you were just minding your own business.

How To Select The Best Gaming Laptops

Most veteran PC gamers know exactly what they want in a gaming laptop, and those who have the time and money have probably already built their dream computer themselves, but if you are a little newer to the field, a little more fond of the smaller notebook footprint, or a little less comfortable with a do-it-yourself computer, you need to be armed with these basic facts before purchasing your gaming laptop.

The three most important components for any high-end laptop are the processor, RAM and graphics card. Since you are building a gaming rig, you will want to focus on your graphics card first and foremost. Make sure you load up the video memory with at least 256MB and remember to select a notebook that has a dedicated graphics card. Integrated graphics simply cannot handle any modern, 3D gaming.

The next most important component is your processor. Dual-core CPUs are the hottest thing out right now. Ideally, you want to stay within the top two or three fastest dual-core CPUs, in terms of processor speed, that are currently available at the time of your purchase. This will ensure that your notebook is fully optimized for all of today’s latest 3D games.

The third most important factor in the speed of your laptop is RAM. You will need at least 1GB to safely play most 3D games without any memory bottlenecking, although most hardcore gamers opt for 2GB or more just for the added punch and/or bragging rights.

The fourth and final tip would be to go with 7200rpm hard drives, as these will definitely speed up load times by adding some extra horsepower to your gaming machine.

With recent advancements in mobile technologies, laptops are now becoming more and more popular in the gaming community, as the prospect of a portable gaming rig that can produce desktop-like performance on the go is something that appeals to all gamers. Just remember to follow these four simple guidelines to ensure that your laptop will be able to meet or exceed all of the hardware requirements for your gaming sessions.
